          Sister and Friends
   And I am a writing for your
Father I thought I would pen you
a word my self letting you know
I am well and I hope you are all
the same I was verry Glad 
to see Osh Get back here but
Sorry to See him Sick but i
think he will soon Get along
now I went to see him last
evening and talked with him
a fiew minutes and he seamed 
Quite Smart to Day I have got
him some some sea and will try
to get him some onions as his
apetite is not verry good and
to night I am a going to see him
again and I will intime to

Leute left me a hat found when he was
here. and I sold it for 50 cents to a Lend
Me muney to Harry to get a Jack knife

Chas Later than What Osh has
told me the news from the front

I take the opertunity of
leting you know that I
am stil on the land of the
liveing but not verry well
I am in the Field Hospital
at Chattanooga I was taken with
the Diarie on the March then
I went to the Brigd. Hospital
and got the Diarie Broke and
then my side bothered me
my liver is afected thenI
was sent here I got here Day
before yesterday I think I
shall soon get well now we
have warm Days but nice
cool nights Lewis and Chas

where well when I left
them I have not been payed
yet so I cant send you 
any money but I think
there is a chance to
send you some soon well
I cant think of any more
at present so I will
close I am as ever your
