There are two sections within the booklet, the first is a reprinted article from the Louisville Journal and focuses broadly on Colonel Robert Minty's two years of command over the Michigan 4th. The second section is reprinted from the National Tribune and discusses the regiment's actions in the Battle of Chickamauga.
