	                      I answered
the letter you wrote me in june, &
directed to Middleburg – and have
been looking ever since for an
answer but in vain. In this 
day M.R came in with a letter
from you – I perused it with
excuding great pleasure –
but also I was nicely fooled
[In?] R had written his letter
& donn it so nicely that I
did not detect the mistake
untill he burst out laughing
wasn't he real naughty? _ 
I am in the Store, writing at
the desk _ & Birds old [farm?]
isn't worth a [illegible in original]. we are
very well _ boarding still
at the [Strigen?] House

and I enjoy married
life exceedingly _ How
are you Lottie dear & Ma. Pa & Dwight _ O
how I would love to see
you Now do write me
soon this I'll write you
a long letter Mr Robertson
sends love to you & often
talks about you excuse
haste - & I will remain
