Minnie wants Lottie and Erville to visit her in Ann Arbor this summer. She then asks about Lottie's plans for the Fourth of July and says she intends to wear a white dress enjoy various treats. Minnie also asks if Lottie has "become acquainted with" any of the "soldiers or officers."
