Simeon gives Cindonia some advice on how to care for her sick animal (horse?), Doll. He also tells her not to mention the fact that he sends her money, otherwise she may be ineligible for the financial assistance she is seeking. In addition, Simeon states that he enjoys Cindonia's long letters, and the other men jokingly refer to them as the weekly newspaper.
