Dear wife I am here all right got here this Morning 
at five Oclock I found the Co here all right at work 
yet but they Say they are ordered to finish all up by
Sunday night and that is the last work there is for
us to do. there was nothing transpired on the cars of interest
I did not get away from St Joh Detroit untill Tuesday
at ten Oclock. A.M. and got here Thursday Morning
So you see I was not but 48 hours comeing from
Detroit here a very quick trip Capt Said he
wrote to me once but I did not get the letter
the boys are all well tell Mrs Bassett that the Boys
are all well and fat as Bucks Danielses ankle
has got almost well. tell Sister Richmond her pears
come very good they all got Mellow before I got
here and I Eat them all up. I saw Charley Webster
in St. Johns he said he thought he would take the colt
home with him, and doctor him there. I dont know of
much more to write at present So I will say Good
bye once more May God bless you and keep you
from all Temptation is My prayer. Tell Arden his
pa is once more in Dixey liveing of hard tack and
