A letter to Ellen Scofield from her brother, Guy. Guy tells her that he has gotten her and his mother's letters to him, and despite recovering from being very sick is feeling fine. Guy talks about other soldiers who have been sick and his own lingering hearing problems that have kept him from being sent forward. Guy also tells Ellen that the nurses are kind to him and that he has been reading religious tracts to keep his spirits up. Finally, he asks that she and other family and friends send more letters.
