Israel will stay with me untill I get well he waits on me verry good for any body that is not well. I think that we both will get along if we are prudent I dont think that y my Mother need Sell the Heifer and gun to come and see me as I feel a great deal better. but I am verry glad to hear that your crops done so well. I want to hang on to the apples as long as you can. and I want you to make all of your cider apples up in cider and not feed them to the hogs as you did last year I would answer more of the particulars in your letter if I could write myself but the nurses will not alow me to as they think it hurts me and I guess it does myself. If my Father can get it he may send me a couple of Dollars. I had a great deal rather send it than to ask for it. I have not got my Disscriptive roll so that I cant get my pay til next pay day which will be too monthes from now I have not had a cent for as much as a month and and I need it verry bad I hope that you are all well as it is bad to be sick I cant write any more now but I will try and write you a good long letter in a few days [Written upside down on top of Scan 2] write as soon as you get this and tell me all the news.
