Nov 10th 1862 A D Dear Brother I am going to write you a few Lines but I cannot write much we received your Letter on Saturday Last and we were very glad to hear from you but sorry to hear that you was so poor and sick. I do think that you had ought to come home why do they not discharge you if they had any human feelings they would Let you come Now do try and come home you must think how glad we all would be I hope Over that you have got the box that we sent and are enjoying what it contained before this time. And also that you have received the long Letters that was mailed the same time that the box was sent Uncle Harmon took the box to Owosso Last Monday it weighed 36 pounds. And had Lots of nice things in it Grace and Lew was down yesterday Miss Chapin preached. Now Guy I want you to tell me what kind of a looking place you are in and what you can see from the windows and all about it for I want to know. I expect Mother will write all the news and as I wrote you such a Long Letter Last week I cannot think of much to write this time. Father and Henry have been making Cider to day I wish you had some now I shall expect that the next Letter you write will say you are comeing home Over and I shall be so glad I want you to write to me every week for like to get Letters from you give my Love to Israel and tell him I would Like to see him.
