one of the U.S Police Force, with
the [Wharf?] Master of the City of
Memphis. to investigate the wharf made 
by the Steamboat Alice Dean, in
    taking on
[crossed out] [discharging] a load of cotten _
	If it be not four instruct_
ions from proper authoritese, you
will cause the Officer in charge
of said boat to immediately remove
such obstructions. _ See by what author
ity they are so obstructing the wharf –
