I received the box yesterday. all right. it was very acceptible, I received also paper envelopes pens ink etc. from Fetterlys box, they were just in time, as I was nearly out I am growing stronger, slowly. I was on duty yesterday guarding Post Hospitle, it rained all day and night. very hard, but I got into an emty tent and kept pretty dry, duty comes rather hard now it will seem easier when I get strong. I am writing in my bunk. not having any window, it is so dark I can hardly see the line, Wm Inman. who has been sick at Memphis. came in this morning. Andrew and Lewis Finch are both having the measles. Andrew went to the hospital day before yesterday. Lewis yesterday morning They will probably get along well. as they are having them light, you need not tell Mr Finch anything about it unless he should hear about it in some other way, Lewis told me when we were taking andrew to the hospital he was not going to write home anything about it. he hardly expected to go there himself the next day, The diarhea takes hold of all the boys some.
