being by me first duly sworn deposes and
says I am a brother of Philander Doxtader
who died on the 9th day of July last near
Richmond Virginia who was a Private
in the 115 New York Vol Inft that I have
been intimately acquainted with during 
his whole life and to my certain knowledge
he never was married but once and then
in my presence to MiSs Louisa Barlow
of Onondaga Ingham County Michigan [crossed out] [who]
his present widow Mrs Louisa Doxtader
and further this deponent says not
