Dear father now having a
fiew leasure moments to 
spend I thought I would
wright you a fiew lines
to let you know that
I am well right and 
tight and hope those
fiew lines will find
you the same the rest
of the rome boys is
well except Dent and he
is gaining fast and will
get along if he is careful

William Bond is so he
is runing all round
Charles Rider he is all
right now all the
companies is gon some
whear I haint learnt
whear Co C and Co P
and Co G that is all
that is left down on
the old camp ground
our company is right
whear they was and
I hope they will stay
whear they are untill
Spring Mr Shaw has
received a letter from
Mr Sturns about that
