Dear father now having a
fiew leasure moments to
spend I thought I would
wright you a fiew lines
and let you know that
I am well and enjoying my
self first rait and hope 
these fiew lines will find
you the same I have just
heard from william Hoad
and george Ayers they are
in liby prison well both
of them they rote to

the lieutenant of their
company which is co A
and the Lieutenants name
is Ashley perhaps you
have heard of it before
you receive this although
it is well enough to put
it in what is the reason
you dont wright I have 
received only one letter
from you since you left
me in Ky and I have
riten not less than fore 
home since you left I
want you to wright oftener
if convenient we have
to stand picket evry
other day now and it
makes some work for us
the regiments is all of
on a scout but three
or four companies and

those have all the duty to
do and it brings us on
evry other day but we are
good for that they have
mooved their camp from
whear it was up whear
we are by the fort they
mooved to day and mud
to their nees Dent is gaining
fast Willy is helping in
the hospital charly rider
is all right and so is
all the rest of the Rome
boys I want you to 
send those photographs 
which I sent after of
yours and mothers and
my self send them
the first oportunity
how dose the draft
come off in rome does
it make them squirm

or do they rase their
men without a draft
wright and let me know 
ho hast to go and wright
and let me know wheather
George A Bond had hurd
from frank yet or not
and wheather he is well or
not I dont think of eny
more at present right often
