Lenoor Tenn June 8th 1865 Dear father now having a fiew leasure moments to spend I will wright you a fiew lines to let you know that I am well and hope these fiew lines will find you the same all the boys are well and tough well father I dont know wheather I shal get home buy the fourth or not their are some hopes of it but not but little some Seems to think we will and others think we wont I am shure we dont dont know but live in hopes that I may be shure and have my bugy fixed up and get me a good horse to drive are before it we^ having splended weather and splended times down hear have nothing to do but to grase our horses and that is to let them loose in the field and watch them while they eat I got that paper and envelopes that you sent me I got them yesterday all right no more at present I remain as ever your friend W Teachout and your son I ame now going to the river to hear a general mass now and it is now nite
