Mt Sterling February 8th 1865 Dear father now having a fiew leasure moments to spend I thought I would wright you a fiew lines to let you now that I continue tough and well and hope these fiew lines will find you the Same Charls Rider is geting better Willey Bond is gaining fast Denton Fleming is no better than he was when you was hear but I am in hopes that he will get along for all of that the rest of the boys are all well their was four of our boys last night got furlows and started for home this morning they went of feeling well you had better believe did you get those photograph at Lexington if you did I wish that you would Send me one of them also Send me yours and mothers send one at a time in a letter then I will get them wright and let me know how Uncle Ise and Uncle Channaey got along with their draw of cattle and wheather they made eny money or not or did they loose on the lot I wish you wourd send me a news paper now and then so we will know what is going on in Michigan Send the Expositor or eny of these papers the new york Tribun if you take it is good enough has Geerge A Bond heard from Frank get if he has let me know whear to wright to him I have lost the Directions So I dont know whear to wright to him I dont think of any thing more this time [prisee?] is talkt takked of prety strong down hear I remain as ever your son W Teachout
