Physiological and performance-related variables that are associated with finish time in Olympic distance triathlons
The purpose of this dissertation was to determine the physical and wearable technology measurements that are most important for success in an Olympic distance triathlon for amateur triathletes; specific aims were to: (1) examine how well the scientific equations and online calculator predicted actual finish time of an Olympic distance triathlon for amateur triathletes and; (2) determine which wearable technology measurements are related to faster finish times in each of the disciplines, and overall finish time, during an Olympic distance triathlon for amateur triathletyes.
