HUBER COPELAND HIUTON a, 1917 THESIS METHODS An analysis of the present methods followed upon the Netional Forests in the Centrel Rocky Mountain reg- ion, for the securing of reproduction of Lodgepole Pine by natural ind artificial means, and results secured, both the number of seedlings end the cost of producing them being considered. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION The observetions and experiments noted throughout were made upon three National Forests, the Medicine Bow of southern Wyoming, and the Arapaho and Colorado of northern Colorado. The Medicine Bow Forest occupies the higher mountecinous country extending slong and tributary to the Medicine Bow or Snowy Range. The Arapaho Forest occupiesithe higher sreas slong the western slope of the Continental Divide end the various slopes of the tributary or spur renges adjeacent, or the Vesquez and Williams Fork Ranges. The Colorzdo Forest occupies in its southern di- vision, the esstern slope of the Continental Divide; it oc- cupies in its northern division the several slopes of the Mummy
