Urban and cluster agglomeration economies's effects on rural households in Asia
"Agglomeration effects play important roles for rural households in participating in farm and nonfarm activities. With the rapid growth of cities of different sizes and the development of food value chain, how these agglomerations of urban effects, networks, and food value chain clusters will affect rural households' participation in nonfarm employment and farm behavior (technology adoption) are not yet well known. The dissertation consists of three chapters that aim to assess the impacts of these urban and cluster agglomeration economies' on rural households in Asia."--Excerpted from abstract.
