was suggested which agency or agencies would carry on

HELD the needs of the persons involved. The writer has

pointed out in this paper what the aps are as shown by
cases :resrntec to the Co: unity Referral Comnittee.
Probuoly the committee should do more to rake these gaps
known to the Inghdm County Council of Social nelfare and
in turn to other conxunity leujers.

Tie success of the treatment given to cases
discussed and referred by the Community Referral Com-
mittee has bean considered in detail. This study found
that in 68} of cases coming before the coneittee, success
was attained in treutment. This percentage conjures
favorably with the success found to nave been attained
by wellxknown casework ngencies. Studies on evaluation
of treatment in two well eiuipoed agencies were noted b
comparison. These studies found that treatnent was

beneficial to a satisfactory Ce ree in 71.5j and in

74.1% of their cases. Our 68$ compares favorably,
especially when it is considered that cases aoout which
there is the most one tion, and cases in which resources
which are not available are most needed, are ones most

likely to have been J scented before the Con unity

hefcrrsl Committee.
