April 30, 1956 I MAY MEETING NOTICE The next regular meeting of the New Jersey Golf Course Super- intendents' AsSociation promises to be another one of those outs- tanding events. The golfing season is here; the weather will be in our faVOr (we hope); and a good dinner and a fine speaker are lined up foryour evening program. Where all this is to take place is at the Springdale Golf Club, Princeton, N.J. on TUESDAY, MAY 8, 1956. Our President, Joseph Stemmle will be host for the day. Naturally, golf is in order, so you had best get those clubs out of storage and get in a little practice. Don’t forget, in another month we will have our annual joint meeting and golf tourna- ' ment with the Philadelphia Association of Golf Course Superintendents. A business meeting is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. with dinner following at 7:00 P.M. sharp at the Princeton Inn -- just across the fairway from the clubhouse, Our speaker for the evening will be Leon Burch of the Terre Company, who will discuss "The Problem of Nematodes in Turf and Other Plants". Lee Burch became well acquainted with Golden Nematodes while studying at Long Island Aggies. After graduating he attended the University of Florida where, under Dr, Christie, he did some of the initial work on Nematodes in the country. Will see you next Tuesday, May 8 at Springdale G,C.
