tendents' July 30, 1956 AUGUST MEETING NOTICE The August meeting of the New Jersey Golf Course Superin- Association will be held in conjunction with the Annual Turf Field Day at Rutgers University on Tuesday, August 7, 1956, This will take place on the Turf Plots at the College of Agriculture Campus. Our host for the day will be our friend Dr. Ralph E. Engel who is in charge of Turf Research at Rutgers University. 10:30 A,n. 1:30 P.M. 6:00 P.M, Ralph has set up the following schedule: Warm Season Grasses, Kentucky bluegrasses, red fescues and turf fertilization. Turf Cultivation, thatch control, fungicide treatments and bentgrasses. Dinner at the Cedar Manor Inn on Farrington Lake, a few miles south of New Brunswick on Route 130. Our speaker for the evening will be Dr. Warren R, Battle, who will show color slides on Italian agricul- ture. Dr. Battle has spent a year in Italy on the Fullbright Grant and has accumulated numerous slides on Italian life and agriculture. As you know from past performances, this is one meeting that you cannot afford to miss. You can be sure that Ralph will have plenty to show you.
