JUNE 19Sh MEETING NOTICE The June meeting of the New Jersey Golf Course Superintendents Association will be held at the Ridgewood Country Club, Paramus, N.J., on Tuesday, June 22. Our hosts for the day will be Supt. William Sweisberger and his able assistant Robert Kapher. Be sure to bring your clubs along and arrive early as there is an important tournament scheduled for the afternoon. This is our annual Superintendent- Greens Chairman meeting and it would be wonderful to see this meeting grow each year just as our Superintendent—Pro event has. If your chairman is unable to attend please make an effort to have some other member of your Greens Committee or club with you. Dinner will be served at 6:30 P.M., which will be followed by our educational program. We are very fortunate at this meeting to have as guest speaker our good friend O.J. Noer of Milwaukee Sewerage Commission. You can be sure of an infor- mative and interesting evening with O.J. Noer. We will be looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday, June 22, at Ridgewood C.C. GOLF TOURNAMENT The June meeting will feature a tournament of club chairmen or club offi— cials and Superintendents. A large cup, to be kept on exhibit by the winning club, is the prize with two smaller cups for the team members to keep. The cup is now in the possession of Benny Dziedzic and the Crestmbnt Country Club. Every club should be represented with a team. If your chairman cannot make the date, any other club official can double for him. If you cannot get to the club early enough for golf, bring your chair- man or club official anyway to hear O.J. Noer. Don't forget, - Golf starts at 12:00 n00n...........Let's have a good turnout. Practice now and beat the Philadelphia Association in July at Trenton. GOLF HOUSE AND AN INVITATION TO EXHIBIT Warren Bidwell of Seaview Country Club has been appointed by President Johnson of the National Association to head up a committee for the Superinten- dents exhibit in the Golf House Mbseum of Golf. Any tool which might be of ancient vintage and which has helped to make golf the game it is today will be appreciated. Each individual tool will be labeled and the club or manufacturer will be properly credited. If you have any item of interest, please contact Mr. Bidwell as soon as pos- sible. This is important.
