Jordan brings to the USGA a strong background in academics and practical golf course management. After graduating from Clemson University’s turf management program, Jordan went on to earn a master’s degree in Plant Pathology, Physiology and Weed Science from Virginia Tech. Currently, Jordan is a Ph.D. candidate at Virginia Tech, where he is researching the cold hardiness of different ultradwarf bermudagrasses. Jordan’s tenure at Willow Oaks Country Club in Richmond, Virginia, as an assistant superintendent and superintendent from 2008-2018 provided him with extensive hands-on experience in all facets of golf course management. Jordan’s commitment to learning, his practical experience and a desire to help others will be of great value to golf courses in the Southeast. Jordan was introduced to golf at an early age, but his love for the game was sparked in college while he was working at a golf course and studying turfgrass management. He still enjoys playing and watching his sons learn the game. We welcome Jordan to the staff and wish him a long and successful tenure with the USGA.
