So I'm Gary Wozniak, and I'm the founder and CEO of RecoveryPark – we launch businesses to create jobs for people with barriers to employment. I started farming at the age of seven… I started picking raspberries for a nickel a quart. I swore when I graduated college, I would never get back into agriculture. So I went into the stock brokerage business back in 1981, and went to New York and found the culture of cocaine and alcohol, and by 1987 I was on my way to prison for using clients money to support my lifestyle. Now that I'm 63, I've always beat to a different drum and had I realized that back when I was a young stockbroker, I could've capitalized on that and taken my life in a different direction… because I was very focused on; who I knew, what I had, how much money was in the bank, what I drove, where I lived, what I wore and the older I've gotten none of that really matters, right. It's a matter of am I happy? Do I have balance emotionally? Am I taking care of the things that are really, really important? Because the other stuff just has a tendency to take care of itself. So now it's an opportunity for me to give back, to teach people how to slow down, how to make better decisions. I have like a litmus test... I say, you know, grow up, make better decisions, set some goals, align yourself with people who can help you achieve those goals and keep moving.
