Davis writes to Lucinda noting that his health is good. He details that the Corps is now six miles west of Huntsville building a railroad bridge. Davis writes that he doesnt think more troops will be allowed to go home until the others return, in part because the line west of Huntsville has been weakened in order to supply more men to strengthen the Knoxville line.
