The Memphis Argus newspaper is reporting on a fight that involved a train carrying General Sherman and his men near Collierville. The train carrying Union soldiers was fired upon by hidden Confederate forces, and a battle commenced after Union soldiers filed out of the train and formed a battle line behind makeshift stockades.
