An outline of African business history in colonial Zimbabwe

This article tries to give a brief account of the background to and major events affecting African business in this country rather than to analyse the structural constraints under which African businessmen operated or to examine the strategies they applied. Thus it provides some information on how African enterprise developed but does not attempt to explain why it developed the way it did
