Dear Dr. Lindsey,

Thank you for the articles and thank you again for coming and
helping on the hike.

From reading your article on the Dunes lakeshore I can readily
see you know more about what we are doing and what we are up
against than we do. The political battle here on a smaal scale
is what was and Ss ,being waged in Indiana.

I doubt if legislation will pass this session, but if we can
prevent local township action I feel there is a chance next
session. The major industrial taxpayersin the county have been

favorable towards our efforts.

The hike did expose many people (over 300) to the area. It was
not condusive to nature talks, but I thhnk it was a help in
defYeloping interest in preserving the area.
