A steady stream of mail is reaching Lansing showing your interest and con-
veying the urgency of preserving Grand Mere, Berrien County, through passage
of HB 3938 sponsored by Rep. Floyd Mattheeussen. As a result of your widespread
and favorable response and because the need for public land on the S. W. Michigan
lakeshore is recognized HB 3938 has received "high priority" designation, and has
passed from the House Conservation & Recreation Committee to Ways & Means with
the recommendation that it be passed!

As the bill reaches Ways & Means for consideration we ask again for your
assistance to help insure its acceptance by this important committee. Please
write a card or letter (see sample) expressing your views to as many of the fol-
