Henry Griffin Residence
Mayor and sheriff Henry Griffin built his family home on Franklin Street in 1844. As late as 1908, it was still occupied by a Griffin. The house was slightly damaged in the 1889 fire. It was torn down by the 1970s to make room for a bank parking lot.
