Hospital Open’
House Aug. 13

The public will have an oppor:
tunity to inspect Traverse oe
new Osteopathic hospital on Sun-
day, August 18, during open house
and cornerstone laying ceremonies,
administrator Sanford L. Mead |
said today. as planning for the!
special day was started.  __

The new hospital on Munson
avenue on the east side of the city
has. been designed by Traverse
City. architect Harford Field to be
expandable. from 50 to 150 beds
as the community grows.

The new hospital, in the three-
quarters of a million dollars cost
range, has been constructed
through contributions of commun-
ity members’ and federal  Hill-
Burton funds. |

A tentative schedule calls for
the open house to take place from
noon to 6:00 p.m. on August 13,
with the cornerstone ceremony
taking place during the afternoon. |

The board of directors of Michi-
gan Association of Osteopathic
Physicians and Surgeons, meeting
in Traverse City at that time, will
take part in dedication ceremonies.
