On July 7, was reported by Supt. of Construction, Vincent and Civil Engineer Webb for prompting men to strike. Was taken off engine. Commenced again switching Aug. 27, taking turn behind all men that are now running. On Sept. 17, lost part of eccent- ric strap just west of Carp River Bridge, did not know where he lost it. John Watt, Fireman. Promoted to engineman May 26. Commenced switch- ing in St. Ignace yard. On Jun. 11 broke pis- ton and studs on engine no. 50 at St. Ignace by carelessness. On Sept. 30 had engine no. 60 at Trout Lake, standing on main line between switches for No. 1 and did not have flag out. No. 1 came near running into them. Running engine on construction July 2. - Quinlan, Conductor. Albert Elleston, commenced firing on main line Aug. 21 Went hostling at Soo roundhouse in winter of 1887. Samuel Collingwood, firing for Brown Howard & Coe, on construction of Dogwood branch during fall and winter. Fred Fletcher, Fireman. Took charge of St. Ignace round house Jun. 12.
