Accident Report

An accident occured on the DSS&A Ry., at St. Ignace station
on the 10th day of September 1887, at 830 o'clock, a, m,
eaused by:

Yard engine while backing up from the yard to go on the ore
dock with a train of loaded ore cars, at Maloney street cross-
ing, a man named Andrew Soloman alias "Crazy John" walked in
front of the cars and was run over on the right foot and left
leg; he was taken to the hospital, the left leg and the toes
on the right foot were amputated; he is progressing favorably.
