Accident Report - September 16, 1887.

An accident occurred uvon the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic
Railway at Dollarville station, on the 16th day of September
1887 at 215 o'clock A. M. caused bys

Freight train westbound coming into collision with rear por-
tion of another westbound freight train at Dollarville station.
Night was foggy; forward train sent brakeman with lamp back
to signal coming train; it was almost stopped, but being on
down grade and cars loaded, they pushed engine forward into rear
of preceding train. No person was injured nor track displaced.
Caboose and 5 ore.cars-were thrown from ‘track.

Casualties resulting from the above accident - None.
