Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic Reilway Marquette, Mi. September 17, 1887. Accident Report An accident occured on the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Railway at Negaunee station on the 17th of September 1887 at 530 o'clock, p. m. caused by: Boy named James Scanlon jumping on trein of ore cars while passing slowly through Negaunee. Missed footing on the board that runs across the bottom of the frame between the pedestals foot went inside and wheel passed over his toes. Foot was dressed by surgeon and ten days after on the 27th it was healing up and not likely to be a permanent injury. Casulaties resulting from the above accident 1 trespasser injured. A.
