Preparing for the Railroad
Mills and Dishno of Ishpeming, are mvoing a number of houses, including the post office, a store and several dwellings in the village of Champion. The buildings were being moved to make room for the main track and spurs, turn table, depot and warehouse of the M&N, which is being built parallel with the track of the DSS&A for a quarter of a mile or more before reaching the terminus. The deopots of the two roads will be so close to each other that they will be partically one, and close connections will be made by passenger trains after the M&N reaches Champion.
