New Locomotives

The South Shore received three magnificent engines, yesterday,
the first installment of a lot ordered from the Brooks Locomotive
works. The engines have three drivers on a side and are known as
the Brooks consolidated. They are very heavy and are larger than
any of the old engines, though both the MH&O and the M&W had some
very large and powerful engines.
