Accident Report - November 15, 1887.

An accident occurred upon the Duluth South Shore and Atlentic
Railway 4 miles west of St. Ignace station on the 15th day of
November 1887, at 805 o'clock P. M. caused by

Train breaking in two. The rear part came into contact with
the forward part, causing a box car to jump off its truecksbear-
ings and leave the track. 8 ore cars (loaded) following also
left the track blocking main line for 11 hours.

(Transferred passengers until track was clear.)

No person injurede

Damage to rolling stock $243.00.
