A special to the Mining Journal this morning announces that
the MSSM&A has reached S. S. Marie. This is the third rail-
way line to reach St. Mary's River this year, two from the Amer-
ican and one from the Canadian side, a fact that will make
1887 quite a memorable year for the communities on both sides
of that historic stream.- and yet people who are so impressed
with the magnitude of their destiny that they don't seem to
mind it much.
