Louis Lachapelle, a french Canadian, under the influence of
liquor, was making a race course of the DSS&A tracks near Bar-
aga, on Thursday last, when the passenger train overtook him,
killed the horse, smashed the cutter, tossing him into the air
and landed him headformost into a huge snowdrift uninjured.
