Source: Negaunee Iron Herald Negaunee.(L. S.,) Mi. February 2, 1883 Thursday Trains on the DSS&A have been on time for the past week or two and the cause of the delay remedied so far as possible. The only train now off time is the one depending upon the con- nection at the straits with trains on the MC and GR&I. It is more than likely that the censure of the company for the short- comings of the past month has been immoderate and unwarranted by the circumstances. Considerate people will readily discover that the railroad itself has a greater interest in rendering prompt service than any one else, and it is but fair to assume that the officials of the company who have a reputation at stake, will bend every effort in meeting the reasonable requirements of the patronage. As soon as the large ferry boat, now being built at an enormous expense is completed, it is thought all obstacles to making time will have been overcome. New locomotives and rolling stock generally has been ordered which will render the road one of the best equipped in the country. ~DSSRA Passenger MT Co.
