July 20, 1888 Friday It will be but a few days now before the operators, station agents, train baggagemen, conductors and some other station men are out in their new uniforms. There were a few instances of kicking by some of the operators but they have all come to time now and will put on the new duds with all the dignity which the situation demands. It won't come so hard for the passenger train conductors as they are used to good clothes, but for a fellow that has put in his time fighting mosquitoes in a hickory shirt and overalls, the new uniforms will be hard to break in.
