The St. Ignace Republican claims to have interviewed the gen-
eral superintendent of the MC recently with the following results:
"a, E. Brown, general superintendent of the MC, in town last week,
says the sale of the South Shore to the CPR will in no way inter-
fere with the present traffic arrangements. The most harmonious
relations exist between the two roads, and he predicts that more
freight than ever will find its way via the MC, indeed an arrange-
ment to that effect has already been entered into." Mr. Brown is
considered better on subjects of this nature than an enthuseastic
Soo pencil pusher.
