August 25, 1888 Saturday Already Planning The Mining Journal understands that the local officers of the South Shore are all ready planning for the changes in the shops here. The engine which supplies the power for the Mackinaw shops will take the place of the one now in use at the MH&O shops, the machine shop will be extended so as to take in what is now the blacksmith shop, that will be moved into the quarters occupied by the iron room, and a new iron room will be built. The carpenter shop will be extended over 100 feet west, the electric light plant moved up to the MI&O0 shops and other changes made speedily. ASS6A Stations - Marquette
