A Smash Up

Negaunee - An ore train and a work train on the DSS&A came to-
gether at the east switch at Eagle Mills Saturday. The speed of
the train had been slackened so that the shock was not a heavy one
and the damage was slight. The pilots were knocked off but neither
engine left the rails. The track was blocked for a couple of hours
and passenger trains were run over the M&W. Several of the ore
train runs were thrown out in consequence and trains were running
Sunday to make up for it.
