September 12, 1888 Wednesday Preparing for the Change at The South Shore Shops Here Ground has been cleared alongside the South Shore supply depot in the upper yards for the new iron house, and its erection will be commenced at once. It will be 24 x 72 feet in size, and as soon as it is completed the iron will be transferred to it and the old iron room will be cleared out and fitted up as an addition to the machine shops, receiving the machinery now in the Mackinaw shops. The engine now in use at the upper shops will probably be utilized to operate the electric light plant and the big engine from the Mack- inaw takes its place in supplying the motive power for the machinery in the shops. visseA Stations - Marquette
