January 12, 1889 Ishpeming - Cyrus Mason - who, it will be remembered, was for a number of years a conductor on the C&NW railroad and who is well known to nearly all Ishpeming people - is on the upper peninsula again having spent a few months in California. The reporter learns that Mr. Mason will be given charge of the distribution of cars to the mines here and at Negaunee by the DSS&A. He is well qualified to look after the ore traffic of this district and undoubtedly would make a good record in the position. C&NW \DSS&A
