The logs are hauled to Nestoria and Baraga. Mr. John J. Connolly, the new master mechanic of the DSS&A has leased the residence on East Arch street now occuviéd by Mr. J. A. Latcha, and as soon as Mr. Latcha moves out, which will de soon after the 15%, Mr. Connolly will bring his fam- ily to Marquette. The work of placing in the upper shops the machinery moved from the Mackinaw shops is now in full progress and the big job will soon be finished. Men are at work on the floor of the addition to the machine shop placing the big ploners and others are at work near the roof arranging the shafting while the masons are busy under the floor building foundations for the tracks on which engines will be run clear into the new shops It is expected that some time next week the shops will ve started up with a full force of men to put all the engines in shape for a big ore traffic next summer. Work is accumulating so that the number of men at the rail- road shops is being increased. \DSSRA Ry. Logging General
