July 20, 1889 Mr. Thomas Holden, for the past nine years a passenger con- ductor on the DSS&A has resigned his position with the road, his resignation taking effect Wednesday. Mr. Holden has sev- eral offers from other roads and will probably take a train on the MStP&SSM. He was one of the most popular conductors on the line, and will be sure to gain pospularity wherever he goes. He is a man who combines faithful work with courteous treatment of the public and makes friends wherever he goes. He leaves for his new field of labor in a few days.
